Jacobus H. Visser
Jacobus H. Visser received his M.S. (cum laude, 1985) and
Ph.D. ('Steven Hoogendijk' award, 1989) in Electrical Engineering
from Delft University of Technology, Delft, the Netherlands.
In 1990 he joined the Research Staff at Ford Motor Company
in Dearborn, Michigan (U.S.A.), where he has since worked
on sensors and their applications in automotive systems.
His research interests include exhaust gas sensors (Air-to-Fuel
ratio, HC, CO, NOx), gasoline vapor sensors, and sensors
for measuring automotive liquids. He is currently a Technical
Leader at Ford Research and Advanced Engineering and is
the project leader of the sensors group in the Physical
and Environmental Sciences Department. His work has resulted
in 16 U.S. patents, additional patent applications, and
a number of publications and conference presentations.
