The PhD Research in Microelectronics and Electronics Conference in Latin America (PRIME-LA)is a conference where PhD students and post-docs with less than one year post-PhD experience can present their research results and netwokr with experts from industry, academia and research.
The 1st Conference on PhD Research in Microelectronics and Electronics in Latin America (PRIME-LA) was held from the 20th to the 23th of February 2017 in Bariloche Argentina.
The Second Latin-American Conference on PhD Research in Microelectronics and Electronics (LA- PRIME 2018) will be held jointly with LASCAS 2018 and IBERCHIP 2018 in the resort port of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, from the 25th through the 28th of February, 2018.
PRIME-LA opens a forum doctoral students and postdocs working in thw fields of Microelectronics and Electronics in general to present their reseach work in front of a savvy and critical audence, to help them garner insight and depth to further and expand their work. Moreover, through this exposure terminal students can broker research opportunities with other well established research groups and institutions.
PREME-LA2018 is technically co-sponsored by IEEE CASS, and all accepted papers will be submited for inclusion to IEEE Xplore.
The main objectives of PRIME-LA are:
to encourage favourable exposure to Ph.D. students in the early stages of their careers
to benchmark ph.d. research in a friendly and cooperative environment
to enables sharing of student and supervisor experiences of scientific and engineering research
to connect Ph.D. students and their supervisors with companies and research centres
